How we made 'Dont Look in This Book'
'Don't Look In This Book', which is out now, was designed specifically for 'Reluctant Readers' in EYFS and KS1. We've released it this week under our new brand 'Owlet Press' as part of National Storytelling Week as the book can help develop children's learning in school; but also in being read by parents at home too.
Ofsted believes more needs to be done to improve spoken language: Our new title is an immersive rhyming journey through a world of dynamic story starters, exciting early years children through storytelling to develop a far better vocabulary which supports their communication and wider learning.
We collaborated with more than 12 illustrators, to create content that would naturally excite and engage even the most reluctant of readers (particularly boys) in EYFS & KS1. We were so grateful for their creative input into our new title - it was so exciting to see which way they would take each story. Thanks so much to each and every one of them too for putting in the work over the Christmas Holidays!
